The Maryland Dance Team

The Maryland Dance Team stands as a dynamic performance-based organization at the heart of “The Mighty Sound of Maryland” and Maryland Athletics. From football to basketball season and everything in between, the Maryland Dance Team consistently delivers top-tier entertainment, excitement, and energy, while focusing on fan engagement. Drawing from the diverse background of the members, the team incorporates a variety of dance styles, including hip-hop, jazz, pom, sideline, and acrobatics into their performances.

The Maryland Dance Team has a remarkable resume including featured performances at numerous prestigious Bowl Games, including the Orange, Gator, Quick Lane, Pinstripe, Mayo, and Music City. Their talents have extended beyond the realm of sports entertainment as they have participated in notable events such as the Macy’s Day Parade and several Presidential Inaugural Parades.

The dance team takes pride in its community engagement initiatives. We are proud to partner with Best Buddies for the Friendship Walk, supporting those with disabilities. Through collaboration and involvement with campus activities, the team is committed to promoting the University of Maryland and “Maryland Pride”.
